This handsome 2 year-old Bearded Collie mix is Taxi. As you can see from one of his photos, he came to us in very poor condition—filthy and with a horribly matted coat. Taxi was living outdoors in a rural area with many other dogs. People kept dumping dogs on an elderly man’s property and he wasn’t able to keep up caring for them. Fortunately, he contacted the local shelter for help and Taxi and 5 of his pals were rounded up and sent up to us for lots of TLC before finding great new homes. Taxi is a very kind and gentle dog. He was extremely tolerant from the minute he arrived as we worked on his matted coat. Of the six dogs who came from that situation, Taxi is the one who is most comfortable on a leash. He may have had some experience with leash walking in the past so should really enjoy walks around his new neighborhood. Taxi loves other dogs and we would love to see him in a home with a canine pal as he really perks up with other dogs around. He has had excellent crate manners in his foster home so should pick up the housetraining routine quickly in his new home. He is going to make a very devoted companion for one lucky person or family. Taxi weighs about 35 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Taxi. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
