Tess is a beautiful 11 month-old Australian Cattledog who’s hoping to begin the next chapter of her life with a new family very soon. She came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray and, when she wasn’t claimed, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would have more time to find a perfect new home. Our guess is that Tess had lived her life outdoors prior to finding herself in the shelter as many things seem to be new to her. She will need work on housetraining in her new home and, since she has accidents in her crate, will need humans who are home much of the time to work with her on that. Tess gets along very well with other dogs so would benefit from having a mature canine pal in her new home to show her the ropes. She’s a smart girl who is eager to learn so just needs someone who has the time and energy to work with an active young dog who is still a diamond in the rough. Tess would love to have a job to do whether that’s being your right-hand pup on the farm or a loyal hiking and jogging buddy. Tess weighs about 30 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tess. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 48 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
