Teva is a gorgeous 2.5 year-old Boxer with a long tail who was adopted from a shelter as a puppy but recently confiscated from her home by animal control due to numerous complaints from neighbors that she was being beaten by her owner. This lovely girl made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while searching for the perfect new home. In spite of having been hit and mistreated in the past, Teva remains the sweetest, most loving dog. She has been friendly with all people she’s met since coming to us and has been great meeting other dogs too. Teva does love her tennis balls so might enjoy being the only dog in the home so she doesn’t have to share them with another pup. She keeps her crate spotless and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Teva walks beautifully on a leash, knows the sit and shake hands commands, take treats very gently, and can catch treats on the fly like a pro. This all-around great girl would love a calm, mature home with gentle owners who will always treat her with the respect and kindness she and every dog deserves. Given the abuse she suffered in the past, we think Teva might be happiest in a calm, quiet home without children. Although there are no cats in her foster home, Teva met the resident vet clinic kitty and showed no reaction to her so might be fine living with cats. Teva weighs about 53 pounds but is tall and looks larger than that. Her adoption fee is $325. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Teva. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
