Meet a Tex, a very handsome and outgoing 2 year-old Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix male with a beautiful red coat. This friendly guy was surrendered to an overcrowded county dog shelter by his owners who could no longer keep him. We don’t know what circumstances let to Tex becoming homeless but we’ve been impressed with what a nice dog he is since he’s been in our care. Tex gets along well with other dogs and keeps his crate clean so may be housetrained although we can’t guarantee it. He’s a little guy at 17 pounds but has long legs so would love an active home where he can go on lots of walks and hikes with his new family. He’ll have no trouble keeping up with the big dogs! His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tex. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
