Thomas is a sweet and lovable 3-4 year-old Setter/Border Collie mix male who has quite a mellow disposition for his suspected breed mix. This wonderful dog was found as a stray and when he wasn’t claimed at the local shelter, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he would have more time to find himself the perfect new home. Thomas makes friends wherever he goes and is very affectionate with people. He does like to gently jump up and hug his human friends but we have been teaching him that all good things come to dogs who keep their four paws on the ground. He is getting the message but sometimes still can’t resist hugging his friends. Thomas has gotten along well with the other dogs in his foster home but he hasn’t really engaged in play with them. He may be fine in a home as the only dog provided that his family has plenty of time to spend with him. Thomas has excellent crate manners and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He walks nicely on a leash and is going to be an outstanding companion for one lucky person or family. Thomas weighs about 46 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
