Titus is a very handsome 5 year-old Black Lab who was surrendered by his family along with Sadie, a 3 year-old Chocolate Lab, when they could no longer care for them. In their previous home, Titus and Sadie lived outdoors and slept in a doghouse. Fortunately for them, those days are over and they will be living in comfy indoor homes from now on. True to his breed, Titus is a very friendly and outgoing dog who loves to play with his human friends but doesn’t usually realize how big he is. At 90+ pounds, when this boy starts jumping for joy, it’s a sight to behold. Titus does sit nicely for a treat so should be able to learn lots more in his new home as he’s very food-motivated. Since coming to Canine Lifeline, he has done extremely well with crate-training and keeps his crate spotless. With continued crate-training and some consistent positive direction on the part of his new family, he should have the housetraining routine in his new home mastered without too much trouble. Titus has not had a lot of experience on a leash yet so would benefit from using an Easy Walk Harness as he works on his leash skills. He’s a very eager to please guy who needs lots of exercise and some direction from his new family. Titus lived with kids in his previous home and did well with them although given his size and exuberance, he knocked them over on a regular basis. Titus has gotten along well with all other dogs he’s met since coming to us. Although he lived with Sadie previously, Titus and Sadie do not need to be adopted together although they would make a great pair for the Lab lover looking for two active dogs. Titus weighs about 90 pounds and his adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Titus. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
