5-9-20–WE HAVE RECEIVED A HUGE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS FOR TOBY AND ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANYMORE FOR HIM. Toby is an adorable 12-14 week old pup who looks like a mix of Beagle and Lab. He was surrendered to a shelter when his family wasn’t able to take care of him and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could enjoy life in a foster home while searching for his permanent new home. Toby’s foster mom reports that he is one outstanding puppy! He’s been with her about two and ½ weeks now and has been a quick study on housetraining. He will now go to the door to signal that he has to go outside. Toby gets along well with the resident dogs in his foster home. He loves to play with toys and get the other dogs to chase him while he runs away with their tennis ball. Toby has been working on his basics and now knows the “sit” and “down” commands. He also has been working on not jumping on his human friends but his puppy enthusiasm sometimes gets the best of his good intentions. Toby sleeps in a crate at night and has had excellent crate manners. He gets it! Toby will need a home where his family is able to let him outside every few hours during the day. He would love having a playful canine buddy in his new home and an active family who will include him in lots of fun adventures each day. Toby is working on his leash skills and with daily practice will soon be walking like a pro. He weighs about 18-20 pounds currently and we expect he’ll be in the 40-50 pound range once he’s full-grown. His adoption fee is $350. He’s neutered, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Toby. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
