Here’s Toby! This adorable 6 year-old Terrier mix boy found himself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter in early August. He arrived there with significant hair loss likely due to an untreated flea allergy. On top of that, Toby was terrified at the shelter and stayed huddled in the back of his kennel hoping that no one would notice him. Fortunately, the shelter reached out to us for help with him and Toby made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could get the medical attention that he needed. After a number of medicated baths to help his skin heal, Toby’s hair started to grow back and it has now almost completely filled in. Along with his improved physical condition, Toby is a much happier, more confident dog now who appreciates the love and affection he receives from his human friends. It’s been very gratifying to watch this little guy blossom over the last six weeks or so into a playful dog who really enjoys his life. He loves to do zoomies now when playing with his human or canine friends which is quite a sight to behold. Toby also enjoys snuggling with his friends and loves going for a walk to show off his new look. He has had excellent crate manners in his foster home so we expect he should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home.Toby weighs about 15 pounds and his adoption fee is $325. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Toby. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age.
