Tucker is a very handsome 4-5 year-old Lab/Shepherd mix with a beautiful red coat reminiscent of an Irish Setter. He found himself homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could take his time finding a great new home. We have no history on his pre-shelter life but we have found Tucker to be a low-key guy who would make a great companion for someone who wants a loyal companion who doesn’t need to be on the go constantly. He would enjoy daily walks but then would likely be content to curl up on a comfy dog bed for a snooze. Tucker has done well with the other dogs in his foster home but would probably be fine as the only dog in the home so he can enjoy all of his family’s attention. He has done well with crate-training in his foster home and we expect he’ll pick up the house rules readily in his new home. Tucker walks quite well on a leash and is eager to start the next chapter of his life in his very own home. Tucker weighs about 60-65 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Tucker. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
