This adorable 1 year-old with the scruffy look and curly tail is Tucson. We don’t have any history on Tucson beyond that he came to us from a hoarding situation where he lived with many other dogs. Fortunately for Tucson and the other dogs in the home, their owner agreed to relinquish them to the local shelter so that they would have a chance at a much better life. From the shelter, Tucson made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could relax in a foster home while searching for a wonderful new home. Tucson is most definitely grateful for the second chance he’s been given and isn’t about to look back. He is the most kind and gentle boy in spite of what he’s been through. Tucson takes treats so gently and is a very polite dog. He plays well with other dogs but isn’t overly rowdy for a youngster. Tucson also has excellent crate manners so should be able to pick up the house rules with ease in his new home. He walks nicely on a leash for a young dog and is eager to experience how wonderful a dog’s life can and should be in his new home. Who wouldn’t love having this sweet face greet them each and every day? Tucson weighs about 23 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized.
