Waldo

Waldo is one silly dog whose personality matches his goofy looks. This 4 year old guy found himself homeless at a county dog shelter and is thought to be a Basset mixed with Lab and who knows what else. This funny boy gets along well with other dogs but is reportedly not good with cats or chickens. We don’t know anything about his pre-shelter life but he is an active dog for 4 years-old and will need an energetic owner who can give him the exercise and mental stimulation that he needs to keep him busy. Waldo does settle down nicely in his crate once playtime is over. He keeps a clean crate so we expect he should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in his new home. Waldo doesn’t appear to have much experience on a leash yet so will do best with a harness as he works on his leash manners. He’s a cutie who is sure to turn a lot of heads when he’s out for a walk in his new neighborhood. Waldo would do best in a home with a yard with an aboveground fence. Apartment or condo living would not be to his liking. Waldo weighs about 37 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Waldo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under the age of 7 years. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
