This great dog is Wilson, a very handsome and really interesting 1.5 year-old who looks like a Black Mouth Cur mix. The roof of his mouth is black, he has a bobtail, and double dewclaws too which usually suggests some Great Pyrenees in the family tree. His beautiful big brown eyes are also reminiscent of a Great Pyr. While we aren’t sure exactly what breed mix he is, we can say with absolute certainty that Wilson is one VERY nice dog! He came to us from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter after having been surrendered by his owner who no longer had time for him. Wilson is a friendly guy who isn’t letting the fact that he lost his home get him down. He’s eager to make new friends and is going to be a very devoted companion for his new family. Wilson has been friendly with all dogs and people that he’s met since coming to us. He walks pretty well on a leash but does pull when he sees a bird or critter of interest. With a little more practice, he would make a great walking, jogging, or hiking buddy. Wilson keeps his crate spotless and is likely to be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. You’re definitely going to want to meet this unique and very loving dog. Wilson weighs about 45 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Wilson. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs.
