This adorable girl is Zadie, a 4 year-old who looks like a mix of Cairn Terrier and Shih-Tzu. She has a charming little underbite which makes her even cuter in our estimation. Hard to believe that this super-cute girl was found as a stray and not claimed at a county dog shelter. From the overcrowded shelter, she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would be able to take her time finding the perfect new home. While we have no history on her pre-shelter life, Zadie has been the perfect guest in her foster home. She is very affectionate with people and has excellent crate manners so may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. Although she gets along well with her fellow foster dogs, we think Zadie might enjoy being the only dog in the home. She doesn’t appreciate high-energy rowdy young dogs so if there is a canine buddy in her new home, she would prefer that he or she be on the calmer side. Zadie will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best so that is something her new family must take into account. She’s going to be so grateful to have a new family to love and is sure to be a very devoted little companion. Zadie weighs about 14 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email if you’re interested in Zadie. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
