Zelda is a beautiful 2 year-old girl who looks to us like she might be a mix of Kelpie and Dobie. Since she came to us from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter, we have no history on her but have found her to be a very kind and gentle dog. She was a little camera shy but has been very friendly and affectionate with all people that she’s met since coming to us. Zelda also gets along well with other dogs but seems to prefer her canine buddies on the calm side. She would likely do well as the only dog in the home provided her family has plenty of time to spend with her. Zelda has had excellent crate manners in her foster home and should pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. She walks nicely on a leash and will make a great walking buddy for someone who wants a medium-sized companion. We have nothing but good things to say about this girl and are sure you’ll be as impressed with her as we have been. We look forward to seeing her settle into her new home as a treasured member of her new family. Zelda weighs about 37 pounds but is thin and working on gaining about 5 pounds to reach her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Zelda. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
