Zesta has got to be one of the happiest dogs we’ve met! This friendly and outgoing 2 year-old All-American mutt has a winning personality coupled with a breed mix that’s anyone’s guess. We’re going with Jack Russell Terrier and Pointer but your guess is as good as ours. Whatever breeds have come together to give us Zesta have resulted in a really nice dog. In spite of having been homeless at an overcrowded rural county dog shelter, Zesta hasn’t let that get her down and is eager to share her enthusiasm for life with other dogs and people. She has been wonderful with every dog she’s met since coming to us. She has enough energy to keep up with playful young dogs but a polite disposition which respects the lower energy level of senior dogs. She seems to match her energy to that of her canine buddy. We would love to see Zesta adopted into a home where she will have another playful dog to pal around with. With some training, Zesta might make an outstanding therapy dog as she certainly has never met a person she doesn’t like. Zesta has done well with crate-training in her foster home and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. She’s a great size at about 28 pounds—perfect for just about any living arrangement. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Zesta. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children under 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there.
